Asset Manager - Power Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client, a leading investor and operator in the energy infrastructure space, is seeking an accomplished Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of power generation and distribution assets in Sandton . This senior role involves strategic planning, performance optimization, risk management, and financial oversight of these critical assets. You will work closely with operational teams, financial analysts, and external stakeholders to maximize asset value and ensure long-term sustainable performance.

• Develop and implement strategic asset management plans to optimize the performance, reliability, and profitability of power infrastructure assets.
• Conduct regular asset performance reviews, identifying opportunities for operational improvements and capital investment.
• Manage the lifecycle of assets, from acquisition and operation to decommissioning, ensuring compliance and maximizing returns.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and risk assessment for the assigned asset portfolio.
• Coordinate with operational teams, engineering departments, and external service providers to ensure efficient asset maintenance and operation.
• Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements impacting the energy sector.

• Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in asset management, investment management, or financial analysis within the power or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale capital projects and optimizing asset performance.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and risk management principles.
• Excellent knowledge of the South African energy market regulations and dynamics.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
