About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Treasury Analyst to join their finance department in the heart of Sandton , a major financial center in Gauteng . This role is critical in managing the company's liquidity, cash flow, and financial risk exposures. You will be involved in cash management, forecasting, debt management, and investment activities, ensuring the company maintains optimal financial resources.
The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, a solid understanding of financial markets, and the ability to contribute to strategic treasury operations in a dynamic corporate environment.
- Manage daily cash operations, including cash positioning, forecasting, and short-term investments.
- Monitor and analyze cash flow trends to identify potential liquidity shortages or surpluses.
- Assist in the management of banking relationships and optimize banking services.
- Support the evaluation and execution of financing arrangements and debt management strategies.
- Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including interest rate and foreign exchange exposure.
- Prepare treasury reports for management, highlighting key metrics, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with treasury policies and relevant financial regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- 2-5 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in treasury management systems (TMS) and advanced Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, instruments, and risk management principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting in Sandton .
