Field Services Engineer

We require the services of a field engineer who will be required to provide onsite services to our clients. The engineer will be focused on the service provider business which deals with client wide area network (WAN) environments. The candidate will be required but not limited to physically install routers, switches, phones, cabling, racking and stacking.

Education and skills required

Grade 12

Diploma or certification in ICT

CCNA qualified

Good writing and communication skills

Experience and personal attributes required

Understanding of Cisco router and switch base configurations

Cabling knowledge will be required

Onsite troubleshooting knowledge

Work in a high pressure environment, there are strict timelines which needs to be adhered to in order to meet client change controls

Ability to multi task between functions

Good communication skills necessary

Be presentable as the successful candidate is the representative of the business to the client
