The development of the Kamoa‑Kakula copper mining complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Platreef palladium‑rhodium‑platinum‑nickel‑copper‑gold discovery in South Africa, the extensive redevelopment and upgrading of the historic Kipushi zinc‑copper‑germanium‑silver mine, also in the Democratic Republic of Congo and exploration on the Western Foreland, near Kamoa‑Kakula.

The purpose of this role is to lead and support initiatives involving the Ivanhoe Mines JD Edwards Enterprise One platform. This role bridges business and technical functions, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery of high‑impact projects that drive business transformation, efficiency, and growth working cross‑functionally with stakeholders in Finance, Supply Chain and IT to optimize the use of JDE and support business goals.

• Tertiary qualification Bachelor’s degree (BCom/BSc) in related field or equivalent NQF Level
• Working understanding of computers is essential, substantial knowledge and experience on JDE including full system implementations and track record of maintenance and support of various modules of JDE.
• Demonstrate experience working within ERP, project management as well as in‑depth knowledge of JDE and its various modules.
• 5‑10 years relevant experience

• Project Management
• ITIL
• Experience in ERP consulting/implementations and knowledge and experience with multiple JDE modules

• Strong JD Edwards (JDE) and support users
• Possess a strong drive for Service Excellence
• Able to identify, troubleshoot and solve problems
• Flexible but methodical and thorough approach; excellent organizational and analytical skills, process oriented
• Knowledge of BI report writing language such as XML, SQL or PL/SQL is an advantage.
• Good understanding of end‑to‑end processes in the finance environment, including procurement, accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales, general ledger, fixed assets.
• Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
• Knowledge of Financial Report writing tools such as Hubble would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of JDE Orchestration Studio would be advantageous
• Knowledge of JDE security

• Develop and maintain JDE in support with the Organizations objectives and business processes with respect to projects
• Lead and participate in the planning, execution, and management of projects involving JDE
• Management of implementation and testing of any enhancements affected by projects
• Provide feedback and input at change request meetings, ensuring there is no conflict with other applications on new updates / changes implemented
• Manage the process of JDE development, including upgrading systems, enhancing systems capabilities to meet end user requirements as it relates to projects
• Monitoring of efficacy with other systems for projects during the project phase after which daily and ongoing monitoring falls to the support team
• Provide input and collaborate with BI publisher team with Technical BI publisher data support as it relates to projects
• Develop training material related to projects where necessary
• Research and recommend new JDE solution options and integral products and tools for projects
• Develop and conduct proof of concepts (POC) on business requirements and initiatives for projects
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure projects align with business requirements and that solution designs address any gaps effectively
• Development of functional requirements and business case documentation for proposed projects in collaboration with stakeholders
