Functional Consultant: SAP MM

Our IT Department is looking for an energetic individual to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a SAP MM Consultant who will be responsible for ensuring SAP systems operate reliably and efficiently and to maintain the integrity of the SAP environment.

As an MM Functional Consultant at Pepkor Lifestyle, you will play a crucial role in implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP MM modules to meet our business requirements. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of materials management processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Leading the implementation of SAP MM modules, including gathering business requirements, designing solutions, and configuring the system to meet business needs.
• Configure and customize SAP MM to optimize materials management processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company policies.
• Managing an end-to-end project delivery, including project planning, resource allocation, and coordination with other functional consultants and project teams.
• Conducting user training sessions to ensure that end-users can effectively utilize the SAP MM system and its features.
• Providing ongoing support and maintenance for SAP MM modules, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements as needed.
• Collaborating with other functional consultants to ensure seamless integration between SAP MM and other SAP modules, such as SAP SD and SAP PP.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of SAP MM configurations, processes, and user guides.
• Staying abreast of SAP MM trends, updates, and new features, and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an SAP MM Functional Consultant with successful end-to-end implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of materials management processes, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
• Proficient in SAP MM configuration and customization.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA is a plus.
• SAP MM certification is desirable.
• certified in ITIL, TOGAF, Agile Methodologies and certified in COBIT, prince ll (advantageous)
• knowledge of retail industry models and understanding of the Pepkor Lifestyle and finance operating model and value chain.

• Expert knowledge of IT Service Management principles and frameworks (ITIL
  3)
• Knowledge of POS systems in a retail environment
• Knowledge of SAP retail applications
• Knowledge of SQL, windows server and desktop
• Knowledge and application of relevant IT best practice (especially with regards to Service and Incident Management)
• Knowledge of complex IT environment (technical, security, business)
• Knowledge of technology development life cycle methodologies
