Data Engineer

We are looking for an intermediate Cloud Data Engineer to join our clients Data Engineering team. The role involves supporting a cloud-based enterprise data platform, assisting business users with data needs, and contributing to a reliable and scalable cloud data environment.

• Perform day‑to‑day development, operations and monitoring of the cloud-based data platform.
• Support and maintain the cloud-based data platform end-to-end, including ETL pipelines, orchestration workflows, reporting and analytics.
• Participate in standby/on‑call duties as part of the data platform support rotation.
• Assist business stakeholders with ad‑hoc data requests and SQL-based data extractions.

• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Solid hands‑on experience working in AWS (RDS, Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, etc.).
• Experience loading data into an AWS-based Data Platform.
• Strong SQL scripting skills (queries, transformations, optimisation).
• Practical experience working with Power BI.
• Experience working with Apache Airflow for pipeline orchestration.
• Proficiency with CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Good practical experience writing Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity with our client.
