IT Project Manager, Scrum Master
An experienced Scrum Master is required to support a large-scale Portfolio Rationalisation Programme within an enterprise IT environment.
The Scrum Master will be assigned to a portfolio area and will be responsible for maintaining the agile delivery cadence, coordinating stakeholders, managing the portfolio backlog and ensuring that delivery remains on track.
The role has a strong focus on impediment removal, delivery coordination, adherence to established delivery standards and transparent reporting
. The Scrum Master will work closely with the Programme Manager, Enterprise Architecture, portfolio and platform owners, application owners and subject matter experts.
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Start Date: Ideally 1 September 2026
End Date: 28 February 2027
Hours: 160 hours per month
Work Model: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies
, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives. - Maintain and prioritise the portfolio backlog in line with programme objectives and delivery waves.
- Coordinate workshops, surveys, validation activities and other delivery dependencies across stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, record, track and resolve risks, blockers, dependencies and impediments
. - Facilitate resolution of impediments across teams and elevate issues requiring programme-level intervention.
- Monitor portfolio progress against agreed delivery targets and maintain visibility of delivery status.
- Ensure portfolio activities follow the established application rationalisation approach, Enterprise Architecture standards and required quality gates
. - Coordinate the completion and validation of required application assessments, data and rationalisation activities.
- Support preparation of inputs for relevant architecture and governance decision forums.
- Provide concise reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, impediments and delivery performance to the Programme Manager.
- Track agreed rationalisation outcomes through to appropriate handover to portfolio and platform owners.
- 5+ years' experience as a Scrum Master in agile delivery environments.
- Current Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM or equivalent
. - Strong experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and maintaining delivery cadence.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and remove impediments and manage delivery dependencies.
- Strong stakeholder facilitation and coordination skills.
- Experience working across multiple teams and stakeholder groups within complex or matrixed organisations.
- Proven ability to manage backlogs, sprint planning and delivery tracking.
- Strong risk, issue and dependency management capability.
- Comfortable working within established methodologies, standards and governance processes.
- Strong communication, reporting and facilitation skills.
