IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Risk and Compliance Junior Specialist to join our Group Technology team. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about technology governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. As an IT Risk and Compliance Junior Specialist, you will support the IT Risk and Compliance team in implementing and maintaining effective IT governance frameworks, risk management practices, compliance monitoring, and internal control processes.

You will play a key role in ensuring that technology-related risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and managed in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT Risk Management, BCom, or a related field.
• Certifications such as CRISC, CISA, COBIT, NIST, or ITIL will be advantageous.

• 0 to 3 years' experience in IT Risk, Compliance, Governance, Information Security, Internal Audit, or a related field.
• Understanding of IT governance, risk management, and control frameworks.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements affecting technology functions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Support the IT Risk and Compliance Specialist, Senior Specialist, and Manager in implementing technology risk and compliance initiatives.
• Assist in embedding technology risk management practices aligned to the Group Risk Strategy.
• Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of IT policies, standards, frameworks, and procedures.
• Participate in risk assessments for existing and new technologies, systems, and services.
• Document, track, and monitor risk findings and remediation plans.
• Assist in monitoring key IT risk indicators, dashboards, and management reporting.
• Support compliance monitoring activities and ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with technology teams, risk officers, information security teams, and business stakeholders to strengthen risk management practices.
• Assist with awareness and training initiatives related to IT risk, governance, and compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the Technology Risk function.
