Information Security Analyst - Penetration Tester

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Information Security Analyst with a specialization in Penetration Testing to join their team in Sandton. This role involves proactively identifying vulnerabilities in the organization's systems and applications through ethical hacking techniques. You will be instrumental in assessing security controls, reporting findings, and recommending remediation strategies to strengthen the overall security posture. • Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, networks, and mobile applications.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify and analyze weaknesses.
• Document and present detailed findings, including risk assessment and remediation recommendations.
• Develop and maintain methodologies and tools for security testing.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure timely resolution of identified vulnerabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Proficiency with common penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap).
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and web application security.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or CISSP are highly desirable.
