Technical Solutions Lead
Some people write code. Some people manage vendors. Butyou— you see the entire technical landscape. You understand how systems talk to each other, where data flows cleanly (or doesn’t), and how one small architectural decision today can become a massive dependency tomorrow.
If that sounds like your kind of thinking, this role will feel like home.
Our client, a top travel and eco adventure company, is searching for a
Technical Solutions Lead
who can blend
hands‑on technical contribution
with
solution oversight
across a complex digital and internal systems environment. This is the person who keeps the ecosystem coherent, scalable, secure, and aligned to a long‑term technology direction — not a patchwork of quick fixes.
This is
not
a pure development role. It’s a technical leadership seat for someone who can challenge proposals, guide vendors, protect architecture integrity, and still roll up their sleeves when needed.
- Technical oversight across digital products, internal systems, upgrades, and solution changes.
- Hands‑on contribution to development, integrations, reporting, data analysis, troubleshooting, and platform enhancements.
- Assessment of vendor and solution proposals — architecture, data, security, integration, sustainability.
- Coordination of system upgrades, integrations, platform changes, and technical initiatives.
- Guiding external developers and vendors to deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions aligned to the organisation’s ecosystem.
- Close collaboration with Infrastructure, Systems Ops, development teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Identification and escalation of risks: vendor lock‑in, fragmented architecture, weak integrations, poor data structures, duplicated capability, unsupported tools, security gaps.
- Championing standardisation, reuse, integration discipline, and cohesive architecture across the business.
- Providing clear recommendations on risks, trade‑offs, dependencies, compatibility, and long‑term impacts.
- ±5+ years in a hands‑on technical role (Technical Lead, Senior Developer, Solution Analyst).
- Strong experience building and supporting enterprise systems, integrations, and data solutions.
- Solid SQL skills — queries, stored procedures, data structures.
- Hands‑on experience with APIs, integrations, reporting tools (Power BI, SSRS), or modern frameworks.
- Experience designing and working with system integrations, data flows, and dependencies.
- Comfortable working across development teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions, risks, and trade‑offs clearly and confidently.
- Strong problem‑solving across systems, data, and integrations.
- Understanding of system design, scalability, and technical dependencies.
- Ability to plan and support system builds, changes, and implementations.
- Confident engaging with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Analytical, detail‑driven, structured.
- Experience in architecture, IT governance, or digital transformation.
- Exposure to SaaS, CRM, or customer‑facing platforms.
- Certifications:
Agile, ITIL, TOGAF, data or security.
You’ll be the person who protects the organisation from fragmented systems, unnecessary complexity, and vendor‑driven decisions. You’ll help build a unified, scalable digital ecosystem that supports long‑term growth — not just short‑term fixes.
If you’re a technical thinker who loves clarity, structure, and sustainable architecture, this is your next move.
