Our client is looking for a seasoned Procurement Manager with expertise in IT and Services procurement to join their team in Sandton . This hybrid role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing the acquisition of complex technology solutions, software licenses, and professional services. You will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, leading negotiations with leading IT vendors, and ensuring that all IT-related procurements align with the company's technological roadmap and budget constraints.
This is a crucial role for driving value and efficiency in technology spending, working within a hybrid model that balances office presence with remote flexibility.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for IT hardware, software, cloud services, and outsourced professional services.
- Lead complex negotiations with major IT vendors and service providers to secure favorable contracts and pricing.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of IT procurement, from needs assessment and vendor selection to contract management and performance oversight.
- Collaborate closely with IT leadership and business units to understand evolving technology requirements and strategic priorities.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, and procurement best practices.
- Monitor market trends in IT and services to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
- Minimum of 7 years of procurement experience, with at least 4 years focused on IT and services sourcing.
- Proven track record in negotiating complex IT contracts, software licensing agreements, and outsourcing deals.
- Deep understanding of the IT landscape, including hardware, software, cloud solutions, and digital transformation trends.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage significant IT budgets.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
