Telecoms Network Architect

Our client is seeking a visionary and highly experienced Telecoms Network Architect to lead the strategic design and evolution of their network infrastructure in Sandton . This senior role involves defining the long-term network vision, developing architectural blueprints, and ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of their telecommunications systems. You will play a crucial role in technology selection, roadmap development, and guiding engineering teams through complex implementations.

• Develop and maintain the overall telecommunications network architecture , ensuring alignment with business strategy.
• Design scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions encompassing data, voice, and video services.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to inform architectural decisions and recommend innovation.
• Create high-level and detailed technical designs, specifications, and roadmaps for network deployments.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and operations teams during implementation phases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business units to gather requirements and ensure architectural integrity.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications network design and architecture.
• Deep expertise in enterprise networking, IP routing, MPLS, SD-WAN, and cloud networking concepts.
• Proven experience designing large-scale, high-availability networks.
• Strong understanding of security principles and network resilience strategies.
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
