Our client is seeking a skilled Cloud Network Specialist to join their technology team in the bustling hub of Sandton . This role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and high-performance network infrastructures within cloud environments. You will work with leading cloud platforms to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance for our diverse applications and services. Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and maintain virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, routing, and security groups in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Implement and manage network connectivity solutions such as VPNs, direct connections, and load balancers.
- Monitor cloud network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure optimal latency and throughput.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and best practices within the cloud environment.
- Automate network deployments and configurations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Collaborate with application development and Dev Ops teams to support their networking requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on cloud networking.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) networking services.
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation).
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate) are a plus.
