Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize their supply chain operations from their office in Sandton . This strategic role involves managing procurement, logistics, inventory, and demand planning to ensure the efficient flow of goods and materials. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing supply chain strategies that enhance cost-effectiveness, reliability, and responsiveness. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics in the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies to support business objectives.
- Manage procurement processes, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Oversee logistics operations, ensuring efficient transportation and warehousing of materials and finished goods.
- Implement and manage inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
- Collaborate with production, sales, and finance teams to ensure alignment on demand forecasting and planning.
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field;
Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain management , preferably within manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with supply chain management software (ERP, WMS, TMS) and advanced data analysis capabilities.
