Supply Chain Analyst - FMCG

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team in Sandton. This role is integral to optimizing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of the company's supply chain within the FMCG sector. You will be responsible for analyzing supply chain data, identifying areas for improvement, and developing recommendations to enhance inventory management, logistics, and distribution processes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, a deep understanding of supply chain principles, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

• Analyze supply chain data including inventory levels, lead times, and transportation costs to identify trends and inefficiencies.
• Develop and maintain supply chain performance dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to implement process improvements.
• Assist in demand forecasting and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains throughout the supply chain.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and systems.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
• Familiarity with supply chain management principles and best practices.
• Experience with ERP or supply chain planning software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
