Manufacturing Process Engineer

Our client is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Process Engineer to optimize production operations at their facility in Sandton . This role is critical for enhancing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across all manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for analyzing existing workflows, implementing improvements, and ensuring the smooth integration of new technologies and equipment on the shop floor. This position requires a hands‑on approach and a deep understanding of manufacturing principles, working closely with production and engineering teams.

• Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
• Develop, implement, and document new manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Design, procure, and commission new manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet specified standards and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
• Provide technical support to the production team, troubleshooting process-related problems.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma projects.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-7 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering .
• Strong knowledge of various manufacturing techniques (e.g., machining, assembly, automation).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in process simulation and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
