About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Computational Scientist to enhance their research and development capabilities in Sandton. You will focus on developing and applying advanced simulation and modeling techniques to tackle complex scientific and engineering challenges across various domains. Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and validate complex computational models and simulations.
- Analyze large datasets generated from simulations and real-world experiments.
- Optimize computational algorithms and workflows for performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with domain experts to define simulation requirements and interpret results.
- Contribute to the design of new research studies and technology development pathways.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in computational modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Fortran, and parallel computing environments.
- Strong background in numerical methods, scientific computing, and algorithm development.
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) resources.
