About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Analytical Chemist to join their advanced research and development laboratory in Sandton . This role is crucial for developing, validating, and implementing analytical methods to support product development and quality control. You will work with state-of-the-art instrumentation to analyze a wide range of chemical compounds and materials. • Develop and validate analytical methods using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, spectroscopy (UV-Vis, FTIR), and titrations.
• Perform routine and non-routine chemical analyses of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Operate and maintain sophisticated analytical instrumentation.
• Interpret analytical data, troubleshoot method issues, and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Collaborate with R&D chemists and other stakeholders to support project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and quality management systems.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytical chemistry, preferably within R&D or QC.
• Hands-on experience with modern analytical instrumentation and associated software.
• Strong understanding of method validation principles and regulatory guidelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, managing both lab and remote tasks.
