About the Role
Our client is seeking an exceptional Lead AI Researcher specializing in Computer Vision to join their advanced research lab in Sandton . - Lead and mentor a team of AI researchers focused on computer vision challenges.
- Conduct original research in areas such as object recognition, image generation, video analysis, and 3D vision.
- Develop and implement novel deep learning architectures and algorithms for vision tasks.
- Publish research results in leading AI conferences and journals (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate research prototypes into production-ready solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision and related AI fields.
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong research focus on Computer Vision.
- 5+ years of research experience in computer vision and deep learning, with a strong publication record.
- Expertise in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Tensor Flow) and computer vision libraries (OpenCV).
- Proven experience in leading research projects and mentoring junior team members.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
