About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Principal Scientist specializing in Immunology to lead innovative research programs within their state-of-the-art facility in Sandton . - Lead the design and execution of cutting-edge research projects in immunology, focusing on therapeutic targets and mechanisms.
- Develop and optimize advanced immunological assays, including cell-based assays and flow cytometry.
- Analyze and interpret complex immunological data, generating actionable insights for drug discovery.
- Mentor and guide a team of research scientists and associates, fostering a collaborative research environment.
- Author high-quality scientific publications and present research findings at international forums.
- Collaborate effectively with medicinal chemists, biologists, and clinical development teams.
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related life science field.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-doctoral research experience in immunology.
- Demonstrated expertise in immune cell biology, cytokine signaling, and adaptive/innate immunity.
- Proven experience with flow cytometry , ELISA, and other key immunological techniques.
- Strong understanding of vaccine development or immunotherapy strategies.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and scientific communication skills.
