About the Role
Our client, a significant player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Merchandising Coordinator to join their team in Sandton . This role is crucial for ensuring that our client's products are prominently and attractively displayed in retail environments, thereby driving sales and enhancing brand visibility. You will be responsible for coordinating merchandising activities, supporting field teams, managing inventory of display materials, and ensuring brand standards are consistently met across all points of sale.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of merchandising principles within the FMCG sector , excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to supporting retail execution in a dynamic market.
- Coordinate the execution of in-store merchandising plans and promotional activities across various retail channels.
- Support the field merchandising team by providing necessary materials, information, and addressing on-site queries.
- Manage inventory of Point-of-Sale (POS) materials, display units, and promotional stock, ensuring adequate supply for retail locations.
- Ensure that product placement and display comply with brand guidelines, planograms, and retail partner agreements.
- Assist in collecting and consolidating merchandising feedback and performance data from the field to identify successes and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (sales, marketing) and external partners (retailers, agencies) regarding merchandising requirements and execution.
- Previous experience in a Merchandising , Sales Support, or Coordination role, preferably within the FMCG industry .
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for tracking and reporting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with field teams and retail partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience with planograms and retail display standards is advantageous.
