Large Hotel based in Sandton is looking for a Leisure Sales Manager reporting to the Group Commercial Director; we are seeking dynamic and results-driven candidate with a strong existing database of clients and a proven track record of converting leads into revenue. The successful incumbent will be responsible for driving sales; managing client relationships; and developing strategic marketing campaigns to promote the property.
You will work closely with the marketing; operations; and events teams to increase revenue and build lasting relationships with both new and repeat clients.
- Leverage your existing client database to drive sales and secure business
- Identify and target new business opportunities in corporate, group, government and leisure segments through market research and outreach.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and travel trade partners.
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets through proactive sales strategies.
- Manage inquiries, negotiate contracts, and close sales with clients.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site inspections.
- Work closely with the revenue team and marketing teams to align and achieve sales efforts.
- Provide monthly sales reports and market insights to management.
- Minimum 3 years Hospitality sales experience
- Well-groomed and professional disposition
- Be well versed in the English language essential (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work efficiently in a highly pressurized, fast-paced environment.
- Strong Industry relationships
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing techniques
- Proactive approach to securing business.
- Proven track record of sales conversions in the hospitality sector
- Existing database of corporate, travel trade, and MICE clients.
- Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated; target driven and results-orientated
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to multitask with excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
