Banquet Sales Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Banquet Sales Manager to drive revenue and manage events for their upscale venue in Sandton . This role is responsible for selling and coordinating banquets, conferences, and private events, ensuring profitability and exceptional client satisfaction. You will be instrumental in building strong client relationships, developing innovative event concepts, and collaborating with the culinary and operations teams to deliver flawless experiences, blending on-site client meetings with remote administrative tasks.

• Generate leads and secure bookings for banquets, conferences, and social events.
• Develop proposals, contracts, and pricing strategies for potential clients.
• Conduct venue tours and consultations with prospective clients, showcasing event capabilities.
• Liaise closely with the culinary and event operations teams to ensure successful event execution.
• Manage client relationships throughout the planning process, ensuring their needs are met.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets for banquet revenue.

• Proven track record in banquet sales or event sales management within the hospitality industry.
• Excellent understanding of sales principles, contract negotiation, and event planning logistics.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in sales CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as event schedules require.
