Our client, an established international market leader in process measurement and instrumentation technology, is looking for a technically competent Internal Sales Specialist to join their Gauteng sales operation.

This is an opportunity to represent a respected portfolio of specialist instrumentation products, working closely with customers and External Sales Engineers to provide technical advice, identify suitable solutions and convert enquiries into business.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to customer enquiries and RFQs, recommending appropriate instrumentation products and solutions.

Prepare accurate technical quotations based on customer applications and requirements.

Follow up on quotations, convert opportunities into orders and support sales targets.

Process incoming customer purchase orders and coordinate with Logistics to ensure smooth order fulfilment.

Keep customers informed of order progress, deliveries and outstanding enquiries.

Work closely with External Sales Engineers to develop customer relationships and grow existing accounts.

Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell complementary products and services.

Maintain accurate customer records, sales opportunities and follow-up activities using CRM systems.

Collaborate with Projects, Service, Logistics and Finance to resolve customer requirements and challenges.

Contribute to customer growth, sales performance and overall customer satisfaction.

Matric plus a National Diploma, N6 or Trade Test in Instrumentation and Automation.

3–5 years' experience in a technical sales environment , ideally involving industrial process instrumentation.

Sound technical knowledge of field instrumentation and its application in industrial processes.

Ability to interpret customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical products and solutions.

Experience preparing technical quotations, handling RFQs and following up on sales opportunities.

Good computer skills, including MS Office and CRM systems; SAP experience would be beneficial.

Strong customer service, communication, organisational and administrative skills.

Practical field experience with process instrumentation would be advantageous.

Valid driver's licence.
