Join Africa Business News as our Sales Manager and lead the commercial growth of one of Africa's premier business media platforms. We seek an ambitious sales manager who can identify new opportunities, strengthen client partnerships, and deliver exceptional revenue performance across television, digital, events, and sponsorship offerings
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and execute the commercial sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Drive advertising, sponsorship and partnership revenue across television, digital, events and branded content offerings.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market share across Africa.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients, agencies and partners.
- Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management and revenue reporting.
- Collaborate with editorial, production, marketing and digital teams to create innovative client solutions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to inform strategy.
- Negotiates and close high-value commercial agreements.
- Attend executive and management committee meetings and represent the company at external events strategic to the company.
- Ensure adherence to pricing, margin and profitability objectives.
- Primary KPI:
Revenue generation and achievement of annual, quarterly and monthly sales targets. - Growth in advertising, sponsorship and partnership revenue.
- New business acquisition and client retention rates.
- Pipeline value, conversion rates and forecast accuracy.
- Sales team performance and productivity.
- Profitability and revenue mix across platforms.
- 5 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving significant revenue growth within media, broadcasting, digital media or related sectors.
- Strong network within advertising agencies, corporate clients and decision-makers.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Commercially astute with strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
