- Repair and replace damaged or worn upholstery on furniture, walls, and other surfaces onboard the cruise ship
- Measure, cut, and sew fabric to create new upholstery pieces
- Install and secure new upholstery pieces using appropriate tools and techniques
- Work closely with the interior design team to ensure all upholstery meets design standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Keep track of inventory and order necessary materials
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Complete projects within given time frames and budgets
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Upholsterer or similar role
- Knowledge of various upholstery materials and techniques
- Ability to measure, cut, and sew fabric accurately
- Familiarity with upholstery tools and equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Flexibility to work on a variety of projects and tasks
