About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Social Integration Specialist to join their team in the vibrant area of Sandton. You will play a key role in assisting individuals, particularly newcomers and marginalized groups, in successfully integrating into the community. This involves providing support with access to services, cultural orientation, and social inclusion activities. The ideal candidate will be culturally sensitive, have excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering cohesive communities in Gauteng.

This hybrid role offers a blend of community outreach and office-based coordination.

• Develop and implement programs to support the social and economic integration of diverse populations.
• Provide guidance and resources on navigating local services, including housing, employment, and education.
• Facilitate cultural exchange activities and promote understanding between different community groups.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify challenges and opportunities for integration.
• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, employers, and government agencies.
• Organize workshops and events aimed at fostering social cohesion and belonging.

• Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community development, integration services, or social work.
• Strong understanding of issues related to migration, diversity, and inclusion.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural mediation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with resources and services available in the Sandton area is a plus.
