What You'll Be Doing

Lead and Inspire

• Lead, mentor, and empower a team of talented Java developers.
• Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support high-performing delivery teams.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and code review expertise.

Build Exceptional Solutions

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Deliver end-to-end customer solutions, including user interfaces, SQL data models, and business logic.
• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that meet business needs.
• Provide hands-on development and technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle.

Drive Architecture and Integration

• Design and implement integrations with external systems, APIs, web services, and third-party platforms.
• Lead solution architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Ensure seamless interoperability across multiple business systems.

Champion Quality and Performance

• Oversee testing strategies, code quality, CI/CD processes, and delivery standards.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimisation strategies.
• Ensure robust security practices and compliance with regulatory requirements, including POPIA.

Partner Across the Business

• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, project managers, and stakeholders.
• Translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
• Contribute to platform enhancements and strategic technology roadmaps.
