Technology Development Lead

We are searching for an experienced Technology Development Lead at our Grayston Drive Sandton facility.

Responsible for the programming and development ofBlu Label Groups applications and supporting software. Provides advisory support through refining designs, practices, tools and processes to ensurethe delivery of quality products to internal and external customers. Fully accountable for software quality and technical excellence. Coaching and mentoring developers, and fullyaccountable for defining and driving maturity of practices and standards.

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, event-driven transaction processing applications and database solutions.
• Provide effort estimates for projects, sprints, and development activities.
• Develop high-quality software in line with company standards, including testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to troubleshoot issues, enhance products, and implement improvements.
• Resolve complex technical challenges, reduce technical debt, and ensure software security, compliance, and reliability.
• Lead technical design, architecture, coding standards, and software release processes.
• Drive automation, development efficiencies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and constructive feedback to development teams.
• Ensure solutions align with architectural standards, business requirements, and future technology roadmaps.
• Oversee escalated technical support requests and ensure timely resolution within SLA requirements.
• Analyse business and technical requirements, recommend best-fit solutions, and determine resource and delivery estimates.
• Support knowledge sharing, collaboration, innovation, and capability development across teams and the organisations.

• Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science or equivalent prior learning
• Minimum of 10+ years'progressive experience as a Senior Software Developer

• Expert experience using Java and Spring Boot
• Expert experience with implementing API’s and microservices using REST, SOAP andGraphQL
• Experience in a CI/CD environment specifically through Azure Dev Ops
• Experience with Database development on SQL and No

• Experience with cloud implementations on Azure and AWS
