Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile Application Developer to join their innovative team in Sandton . You will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality native or cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. This role requires a deep understanding of mobile development best practices, performance optimization, and UI/UX principles to deliver exceptional user experiences.
You will work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to bring new features to life and enhance existing functionalities, contributing significantly to their mobile product strategy.
- Design, build, and maintain advanced mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Optimize application performance for speed, responsiveness, and battery efficiency.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues reported by QA or users.
- Stay up‑to‑date with the latest industry trends and mobile technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.
- Proven experience developing native iOS (Swift/Objective‑C) or Android (Kotlin/Java) applications, or cross‑platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
- Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating with backend services.
- Familiarity with mobile development tools, debugging, and performance profiling.
