Our client is looking for a creative and skilled Computer Vision Engineer to join their innovative R&D team in Sandton. This role focuses on developing and implementing cutting-edge computer vision algorithms and systems that analyze and interpret visual information. You will contribute to projects ranging from object detection and image recognition to augmented reality and advanced imaging applications. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms for various applications.
- Implement solutions for image processing, object detection, tracking, segmentation, and recognition.
- Work with large image and video datasets, ensuring efficient data handling and annotation processes.
- Integrate computer vision models into real-time systems and applications.
- Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to deploy and refine vision models.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and research in computer vision and deep learning.
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in Computer Vision.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying computer vision algorithms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., OpenCV, scikit-image).
- Strong understanding of deep learning frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, PyTorch) and their application to vision tasks.
- Experience with image data handling, augmentation, and management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
