About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Delivery Fleet Coordinator with a Code 10 driver's license to manage and optimize their delivery operations in the Sandton region. This hybrid role involves both hands-on driving duties and coordination responsibilities, ensuring the efficient deployment of a fleet of Code 10 vehicles . You will play a key role in route planning, driver support, and vehicle maintenance oversight within Gauteng , contributing to seamless logistics and high customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, adept at problem-solving, and committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.
- Operate a Code 10 truck for deliveries and collections as required.
- Coordinate daily delivery schedules, assigning routes to drivers to ensure timely service.
- Monitor fleet performance and driver activities to ensure adherence to schedules and policies.
- Maintain records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
- Liaise with customers to confirm delivery details and address any logistical concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic regulations and company safety procedures across the fleet.
- Valid South African Code 10 driver's license and PrDP.
- Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, ideally Code 10 trucks.
- Experience in logistics coordination, dispatch, or fleet management is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a hybrid environment.
