Inventory Clerk

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and accurate Inventory Clerk to manage stock levels and ensure the integrity of inventory data at their facility in Sandton. This role is fundamental to maintaining efficient warehouse operations by accurately recording stock movements, conducting regular checks, and identifying discrepancies. You will play a key part in supporting the inventory management team and ensuring that stock information is up-to-date and reliable.

• Accurately record the receipt, movement, and dispatch of inventory items.
• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to verify stock accuracy.
• Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, reporting findings to the supervisor.
• Maintain organized and tidy storage areas to facilitate efficient stock management.
• Update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
• Assist with stocktaking and provide support for inventory-related queries.

• Experience in an Inventory Clerk or similar stock management role is preferred.
• Basic understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in using inventory tracking software or MS Excel for record-keeping.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Ability to perform physical duties related to stock handling.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
