Materials Handler

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and efficient Materials Handler to support operations at their facility in Sandton . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process, from receiving raw materials to dispatching finished goods. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe and organized warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to workplace safety and operational efficiency.

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and finished goods.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Transport materials between different areas of the plant as required by production schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and system updates.
• Organize warehouse space to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of items.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling and warehouse operations.

• Previous experience as a Materials Handler or in a warehouse/logistics role.
• Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating forklifts.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
