Location: Sandusky, Ohio area

Responsibilities
  • Develop, modify, and maintain PLC code—primarily Allen-Bradley (AB), with increasing work on Siemens, Omron, and Mitsubishi platforms.
  • Create, update, and document control logic for new equipment and system upgrades.
  • Perform on-site commissioning, startup, and debug of automated systems.
  • Troubleshoot control systems during build, launch, and production support phases.
  • Provide periodic off-shift or weekend support depending on project needs.
  • Develop and modify HMI screens using AB Panel View, Weintek, and C-more interfaces.
  • Program, integrate, and troubleshoot robots—primarily Fanuc and Yaskawa, with exposure to ABB and Kuka as needed.
  • Integrate and support RFID systems, safety devices (area scanners, light curtains, safety controllers).
  • Create electrical and controls documentation (schematics, layouts, IO lists, etc.).
  • Provide support to maintenance, operations, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications
  • 3–7 years of experience as a PLC, Controls, or Automation Engineer.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Allen-Bradley RSLogix/Studio 5000.
  • Experience with at least one of the following:
    Siemens (TIA Portal), Omron, Mitsubishi.
  • Hands‑on experience with controls commissioning, startup, and debug.
  • Experience programming or integrating industrial robots (Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB, or Kuka).
  • Working knowledge of vision systems, safety devices, and industrial networking.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and machine drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Willingness to provide off‑shift support when required.
