Summary
Medical Receptionists directly interact with patients collecting and providing information concerning the patients’ medical care. Receptionists also work closely with other staff to ensure effective communication.

Job Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line phones.
• Greet patients and vendors.
• Sign patients in and out, obtaining insurance information and any other necessary data.
• Enter data into EHR systems.
• Schedule appointments on the phone and at checkout desks.
• Collect outstanding balances and copays.
• Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience with medical terminology is a plus.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.
