Summary
Medical Receptionists directly interact with patients collecting and providing information concerning the patients’ medical care. Receptionists also work closely with other staff to ensure effective communication.
Job Responsibilities
- Answer multi-line phones.
- Greet patients and vendors.
- Sign patients in and out, obtaining insurance information and any other necessary data.
- Enter data into EHR systems.
- Schedule appointments on the phone and at checkout desks.
- Collect outstanding balances and copays.
- Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience with medical terminology is a plus.
- Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians.
- Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.
