SummaryIndividuals in this position install large industrial ovens, conduct preventive maintenance and any other duties contracted by customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and provide technical support and service, industrial gas, and electric ovens.
- Assemble company products at standard rate.
- Follow written work instructions and complete required quality documents.
- Communicate clearly with customers, contractors, and coworkers.
- Accurately post transactions using shop floor data collection devices.
- Interpret mechanical drawings to assemble company products.
- Interpret schematics to assemble hydraulic/pneumatic/fuel gas systems.
- Build control panels from panel layout drawings and electrical schematics.
- Cut and fit conduit and other industrial wire ways.
- Interpret electrical schematics to wire company products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical circuits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Setup/operate digital test equipment including data loggers.
- Use own tools to assist in process of assembling equipment as needed.
- Up to 100% travel may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications- Able to pass pre-employment math, measurement, and electrical assessment tests.
- Ability to proficiently use measuring equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings with no assistance.
- Accurately use testing equipment: anemometer, manometer, multimeter, and data logging equipment.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be customer service-oriented, reliable, motivated, and willing to learn.
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License, good driving record required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 3 years’ experience in mechanical equipment assembly preferred.
- Industrial Electricity or Controls education preferred (apprenticeship, degree, military).
- Must have basic reading and writing skills.
- Algebra, Geometry, Percentages
- Calculate loads
- Calculate air flow in CFM
- Basic data entry skills including how to print documents.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and peripheral vision.
Will work with high voltage electrical equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the non-air‑conditioned work environment is moderate. All required PPE, including steel toe shoes, must be worn and a clean work environment must be maintained. Off‑site projects may have different environmental conditions along with varied PPE requirements which must be adhered to.
