• Extensive mold repair and maintenance, routine preventative maintenance on injection molds requiring full disassembly and assembly.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Support production and perform job assignments in the shop.
• Basic machining skills on lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions to determine materials and machines needed for fabrication.
• Compute dimensions, plan layout, and determine assembly methods and sequences.
• Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock for machining.
• Knowledge of lifting and rigging techniques for dies and machined parts with overhead cranes.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
• Heat treat metal tools or parts.
• Examine standard or previously used dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures, and recommend design modifications.
• Develop specifications for specialty tools and sketch or draw designs.

• Potential for high heat during warmer months.
• Moderate noise conditions.
• Working with controlled chemicals.
• Interaction with industrial truck traffic as a pedestrian.
• Working on or around hazardous machinery.
• Infrequent lifts of 40 lbs or more.
• Working from a step ladder less than 6 feet.
• Working in confined spaces.
• Potential to obtain an in-plant industrial truck license.
• Some overtime required; candidates must be willing to work all 3 shifts.

• Journeyman card or 8 years’ experience strongly preferred.
