Position Description
Position Summary:
The Shop Foreman oversees all aspects of precast concrete manufacturing operations on the production floor. This position is directly responsible for ensuring efficiency and safety for the production employees as well as quality control of the finished precast concrete products. This role involves team leadership, production oversight, and maintaining client satisfaction while adhering to industry standards and company objectives. The shop foreman reports directly to senior management and is responsible for fostering a culture of excellence among fellow employees.

Job Duties Production Management:Plan, organize and manage daily operations of the precast concrete manufacturing plantSchedule production to meet project deadlines and optimize resource utilizationSupervise and train plant personnel, ensuring adherence to safety & quality protocolsOversee all production operations including forming, stripping, casting and curing precast concrete productsCoordinate storage and shipping of precast concrete products to meet customer needs and inventory requirementsQuality Assurance and Compliance:Ensure all precast concrete products meet project specifications, design standards and relevant codesImplement and monitor quality control procedures, including material testing and inspectionMaintain accurate production and quality documentationCoordination and Communication:Collaborate with design and engineering to review precast shop drawings and resolve technical issues and constructability concernsCoordinate logistics for timely delivery of precast concrete products to meet customer needsCommunicate effectively with customers, contractors, suppliers and employeesSafety and Maintenance:Promote a culture of safety and compliance with company policiesCoordinate with the safety director to identify and eliminate safety concerns and issuesEnsure that equipment, molds and forms are properly maintained and repairedContinuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, optimize cost and expand the product lineStay up to date with industry trends, materials and technology in the precast concrete industryPosition Requirements
Qualifications:
5+ years of concrete construction experience, specifically with concrete forming and finishing5+ years of experience in managing and leading a crew of workers in a manufacturing or construction settingAbility to interpret technical drawings and specificationsProficient in production planning, scheduling and resource managementStrong knowledge of production processes, quality assurance, and safety protocolsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesWork Environment:
Ability to work in a manufacturing plant facilityMay require standing, walking and lifting up to 50 poundsOccasional travel may be required for client interaction, industry events and training opportunitiesCompensation and Benefits:
