Overview

Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist is our steward to the industry, demonstrating our dominance in all things color related and in talent development, technical, social media, business and selling skills. The role focuses on daily sales associate responsibilities and driving sales by increasing customer retention, building relationships, and expanding brand awareness in the hair color market.

In addition to daily sales responsibilities, the CCC/CCS maximizes sales by providing color & curl/texture consulting services to professional beauty salons, barbers, spas, schools and licensed cosmetologists, and by using market analysis to introduce new products and concepts, educate customers, and deliver effective service in-store and virtually.

The main focus of this vital role is to drive the Color & Curl business. A foundation of extensive education is provided through online guided learning and certification courses.

• Determine customer color and care related needs and offer professional advice and product recommendations to meet client needs.
• Communicate upward and cross-functionally regarding calls, visits, orders, sales progress, follow-up plans and any needed assistance with customers, associates and vendors.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively.
• Maintain high standards of color and curl merchandising, store signage, and display techniques to align with brand guidelines and create an inviting atmosphere.
• Stay informed on emerging trends, adapt to market changes, and share industry knowledge with business partners while adjusting personal sales techniques.
• Ensure store opening/closing procedures are followed; occasionally assist with bank deposits and cash handling.

• One year retail or other sales-focused experience
• Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred in US and Canada
• Reliable transportation to service designated store and market
• Ability to travel to shows and/or sales meetings at least 3 times per year
• Strong business acumen and ability to interpret sales reporting
• Knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems and visual merchandising (strongly preferred)
• Strong knowledge of POS applications
• Comprehensive knowledge of computers, iPads, mobile devices and social media platforms
• Flexibility to work scheduled hours with potential for additional hours
• May be required to work in other stores and in the field at times
• Strong time management and organization with ability to manage multiple projects
• Professional image and positive interaction with the public
• Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels
• Must pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire to remain in position

The work environment involves ordinary risks or discomforts typical of offices, meeting/training rooms, retail stores, residences or commercial vehicles. Safety practices apply (office equipment use, avoiding trips and falls, fire regulations, traffic signals, etc.).
