Senior Scientist

Talentmark are recruiting for a Senior Scientist to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 12 months. This role is Site-based, in Sandwich, Kent.

Salary:
Up to £20.66 per hour (PAYE) or £23.15 per hour (Umbrella)

Senior Scientist (Biopharmaceutics Modelling & Simulation) Role:

Develop and apply PBBM/PBPK models using Simcyp, Gastro Plus, or similar software.
Predict oral absorption, food effect, bioavailability, and virtual bioequivalence.
Run model calibration, sensitivity analysis, and uncertainty assessments.
Work with lab scientists to design and interpret in vitro studies.
Support development of clinically relevant dissolution methods.
Present modelling outcomes in reports, presentations, and regulatory documents.

Your Background:

PhD or MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics, or related field.
Expertise in PBPK, PBBM, pharmacometrics, or model-informed drug development.
Strong grasp of oral absorption, dissolution, permeability, and pharmacokinetics.
Hands-on experience with Simcyp, Gastro Plus, PK-Sim, or similar platforms.
Strong scientific communication skills, with evidence of publications/presentations and regulatory submission experience.
Desirable: knowledge of Python/R/MATLAB, machine learning/data science experience, and exposure to multiple drug modalities (poorly soluble compounds, peptides, complex dosage forms).Apply:
