Senior Scientist

Talentmark are recruiting for a Senior Scientistto join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 12 months. This role is Site-based in Sandwich Kent.

Salary:
Up to 20.66 per hour (PAYE) or 23.15 per hour (Umbrella)

Senior Scientist (Biopharmaceutics Modelling & Simulation) Role:

• Develop and apply PBBM/PBPK models using Simcyp Gastro Plus or similar software.
• Predict oral absorption food effect bioavailability and virtual bioequivalence.
• Run model calibration sensitivity analysis and uncertainty assessments.
• Work with lab scientists to design and interpret in vitro studies.
• Support development of clinically relevant dissolution methods.
• Present modelling outcomes in reports presentations and regulatory documents.

Your Background:

• PhD or MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences Biopharmaceutics Pharmacokinetics or related field.
• Expertise in PBPK PBBM pharmacometrics or model-informed drug development.
• Strong grasp of oral absorption dissolution permeability and pharmacokinetics.
• Hands-on experience with Simcyp Gastro Plus PK-Sim or similar platforms.
• Strong scientific communication skills with evidence of publications/presentations and regulatory submission experience.
• Desirable: knowledge of Python/R/MATLAB machine learning/data science experience and exposure to multiple drug modalities (poorly soluble compounds peptides complex dosage forms).
