Principal Scientist

Principal Scientist | Analytical Development | Pharmaceuticals
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Scientist with strong analytical method development expertise to take on a project leadership role within a global pharmaceutical organisation.

Key Responsibilities
 
* Lead analytical method development and optimisation projects, with chromatography as the core technical focus including HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS and SFC.
 
* Provide expert input into method validation protocols and reports.
 
* Lead projects and provide technical direction across multidisciplinary teams.
 
* Act as a key client contact, confidently addressing challenging technical questions and project issues.
 
* Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex analytical challenges.
 
* Mentor and provide technical leadership to analytical scientists.
 
* Ensure analytical activities are delivered to appropriate quality and GMP standards.
Key Requirements
 
* Strong industry background in analytical chemistry, ideally within a CRO/CDMO, pharmaceutical or similar environment.
 
* Extensive experience in chromatographic method development.
 
* Proven experience working with method validation protocols and reports.
 
* Strong project management and/or scientific leadership experience.
 
* Confident, professional and technically credible when dealing directly with clients.
 
* Ability to troubleshoot complex analytical problems and communicate solutions effectively.
 
* Strong GMP experience.
