Position Overview:
The Outside Sales Representative works directly with customers to build relationships and grow the business. Working with our CRM, sales representatives follow up on leads, identify key markets, and use company sales processes to grow their territory. Responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying new leads, developing key relationships, and identifying and resolving customer concerns.
We passionately serve customers in the Jan San, Food service, and Industrial Packaging markets, delivering the right products and solutions to ensure their businesses are more successful every day.
Note: This position requires daily travel throughout Southeast Boston and Cape Cod.
Salary Range: The salary range for the position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Sales Manager to drive and support sales initiatives with a focus on chemicals, paper, food service disposables, industrial packaging, and other key janitorial segments.Create sales volume by making cold calls within the assigned territory on a daily basis to prospective customers and regularly engaging current customers.Execute all phases of the sales process including hunting, qualifying, assessing needs, providing quotes, closing new accounts, and building relationships.Actively seek out industry and product knowledge becoming a Subject Matter Expert who educates customers on the best solutions for their business.Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.Collaboratively work to expand and develop market share for key manufacturers that the company promotes.Proactively work to resolve customer concerns to maximize satisfaction. This may involve working through cross-functional teams within the organization and external suppliers.Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes.Prepare sales presentations, proposals, contracts (sales, activation, service maintenance), and reports (status, sales activity, goals, and closings).Collaboratively partner with the Marketing Team on sales materials.Positively engage with internal Contracts, Category, Marketing, and Operations Teams to troubleshoot and find business solutions.
The ideal candidate will have:
High School Diploma required, college degree in sales/marketing or business preferred.2-5 years of B2B outside sales experience or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience desired.Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills is a PLUS.Jan San, Industrial Packaging, Food service experience is a PLUS but not required.A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and at least one year of driving experience required.Must have reliable transportation with the willingness and ability to drive throughout the assigned territory daily required.This position offers a competitive starting salary and comprehensive benefits program.
