** How This Role Works:*

** Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

** Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or authorized guests while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

+ Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and vehicle activity records, and report irregularities according to site procedures.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.

+ Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

* + An armed guard card or license is required.

+ Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.

+ CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

+ A valid firearms permit is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
