How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government military installation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor activity, patrol observations, incidents, and other required information accurately.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while complying with applicable laws, post orders, use‑of‑force guidelines, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
