Are you a seasoned tax professional with a knack for strategic planning and a passion for financial growth? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Director to join our Accounting and Finance team. This role will offer you the chance to showcase your expertise in tax planning, compliance, and audit while working with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals and partnerships.

You will also have the opportunity to work with ASC 740, 1065, and state tax matters. This position calls for a candidate with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the tax planning, compliance, and audit functions of the organization.
  • Managing the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Providing strategic tax advice and planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
  • Managing ASC 740 processes and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Reviewing and managing the preparation of partnership tax returns (1065).
  • Developing and implementing effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws.
  • Collaborating with other department heads to align internal strategies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, MST, or JD/LLM is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 740, partnership tax returns (1065), and state tax matters.
  • Proven experience with tax planning, compliance, and audit for high-net-worth individuals and partnerships.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay current with the latest industry trends and tax law changes.
