Tax Manager

We’re representing a Sandy Springs, GA wealth management and tax firm that has been helping individuals and families navigate their finances for more than 30 years. As the firm’s services have expanded to include tax planning and preparation, they are looking for a Tax Manager who can bring strong technical tax expertise while developing trusted relationships with sophisticated clients.

• Manage and review complex tax engagements for HNW individuals, families, business owners, trusts, estates, partnerships, and S-Corps.
• Provide tax planning and advisory services alongside compliance, helping clients make informed decisions around their broader financial goals.
• Handle complex federal and multi-state tax matters, including investment and pass-through structures.
• Research technical tax issues and develop practical solutions for clients.
• Work collaboratively with wealth management professionals and other advisors to provide a coordinated client experience.
• Review Staff and Senior work, provide technical guidance, and support the development of the tax team.
• Build long-term relationships with clients through proactive communication and personalized advice.
• Assist with IRS and state correspondence, notices, and amended filings as required.

• Active CPA license.
• 7+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
• Strong experience working with high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses.
• Excellent knowledge of individual, partnership, S-Corp, trust, and estate taxation.
• Experience with complex investment, private equity, real estate, or family office structures is highly valued.
• Strong tax planning, research, and multi-state experience.
• Previous experience reviewing returns and mentoring junior professionals.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop lasting client relationships.
