Leads a paving crew in the field, overseeing daily production, quality and crew development.
The roleLeads a paving crew in the field, overseeing daily production, quality and crew development.
Responsibilities and qualifications- Maintain extensive, hands-on knowledge of asphalt paving operations.
- Operate all major pieces of asphalt paving equipment.
- Train and develop crew members across all crew positions.
- Calculate tonnage, square yardage and material yield.
- Coordinate trucking, job setup, asphalt plant orders and subcontractors, including striping and traffic control.
- Communicate clearly with the crew and lead effectively as the on-site point of authority.
- Use spreadsheets and other basic computer applications for daily reporting.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
