Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking Lower School Substitute Teachers for the  academic year. Multiple positions are available. Substitute Teachers will work on an as‑needed basis based on availability. Interested applicants should be able to supervise a wide variety of grade levels. Experience teaching, tutoring and/or working with youth will be preferred.

• Support students by leading small groups, individual instruction, and in some cases, whole class lessons utilizing effective classroom management techniques
• Assist lead teachers with classroom supervision
• Manage attendance reporting and other duties as assigned

• High School diploma required;
  Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness to a variety of learning styles
• Ethical behavior, professionalism, and respect for diversity
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, drug testing and safety training required.
